We recently had a 19 day trip around Egypt and I can definitely say that the Iberotel Costa Mares was the best hotel/resort that we stayed at in Egypt and on par with other 5 star resorts we’ve stayed at around the world. We had two deluxe family ground floor rooms with views on the gorgeous 45m long pool for our family of five. The rooms were very spatial, comfortable, clean and had all the modern conveniences you’d want. We spent our days moving from the pool to the beach and back again. The resort’s position on the bay is perfect for swimming with the sea turtles and the sea cows (dugong). There are other reviews that criticise the tour boats being the in the bay but this didn’t bother us - they are far enough from the shore and the bay is certainly big enough for everyone to enjoy. The dive centre, less than 10 minutes walk down the beach at the sister resort, is an added bonus. We had a great excursion to the Dolphin House where one in our group was able to dive while the rest of us did snorkelling. We chose Costa Mares for the location and the great reviews on the food and service. Khalif and his food and beverage team certainly didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed our meals at the Coral Restaurant (buffet) where there is a vast selection of Egyptian and International foods and always freshly grilled or barbecue meat and fish in the evening. The food was fresh, tasty and good quality. Special mentions to Mohamed Allam and both Ahmeds at the Coral Restaurant, Ahmed Mahout at the pool bar and lifeguard Amr who looked after us so well, greeted us with smiles and genuine kindness and worked so hard to ensure that we always received 5 star service. Thank you to the lovely staff for making our stay at Costa Mares such a wonderful holiday.

Our stay at Iberotel Costa Mares was absolutely exceptional – from the very first moment, we felt not like guests, but like part of a big, warm family. The hotel staff is truly outstanding – kind, smiling, and genuinely dedicated. Our heartfelt thanks go to: • Anwar – our dear friend, • Mohamed Khalaf – always smiling and taking care of everything, • Osama – the irreplaceable front desk manager, • the amazing guys from the pool bar – إخواننا • and Yousif from the beach bar who made every single day of our stay even more special. Special recognition also goes to: • the restaurant staff, always professional and kind, • the housekeeping gentlemen, who took care of every detail with incredible care and friendliness, • and the entire front desk team, for their patience, efficiency, and warm attitude. We really enjoyed our stay at Iberotel. It's a great place, we were able to see sea turtles and dugongs. The hotel itself is new, modern, comfortable, with great food and friendly staff. Every morning at breakfast we were greeted by Dina with a big smile and we immediately felt like we were at home. We could turn to her or to any member of the staff with any question, for any help. Our child was delighted with her, the staff and Chef's Heyden's incredible team who treated us from morning to evening. The food was very varied, for every taste, and changing each day. The entertainment program was great and varied. We loved the animation team of Mr Simba, and all artists who performed for us. All the staff were very friendly and made our holiday unforgettable. We initially planned to stay for 4 nights, but we liked it so much that we came back for another 3 nights. We will definitely come here again.

1. Generally good hotel. Food, staff, service on a good level, even where its not, they are trying. 2. More as a family stay. After 10-11pm all gone sleeping. 3. Quite expensive to book here comparing to the prices people pay to travel agencies. I suggest management to adjust the pricing policy, or offer extra bonuses, if bookend here (eg better room). 4. I wouldn't say main client group is even middle class. I'd say lower middle, upper lower. 5. I don't think offering people a bottle of wine for a good review is a good practice, but asking them what could be improved and offering them a bottle of fine as a complement for a honest review. Conclusion: family with a small kids (I haven't seen much grown kids facilities, maybe I didn't notice), or couple for a quite stay looking for a decent place with a limited budget within 5 star category.

Its a dream paradise vacation loved every single thing, the place is embraced by nature with teams working on the clock to maintain a certain level and quality for each and everything! Wanna give a special thanks to Mohamed who gave a us a lovely warm welcome, check inn and an upgrade! Never the less Mahmoud who did an absolute remarkable job for house keeping made everything you wish for come true! never the less yousif, mohamed yousri, Donia, sherif, both Abdulla’s, Abdul Azeem and ahmed who were like the flying carpets for what ever you order serving it with love and absolute pleasure! Lovely vibes were created by the talented animation team Natalaia,Ahmed and micky..keep the good work up! It was so sad leaving guys, see ya next time!
